Japanese first Nobel Prize Winner's story

Last night's TV program featured about one Japanese Nobel prize winner who also was involved in abolishing nuclear weapons from the earth. He had very significant and fundamental discovery in physics, but he also felt pity about the fact that development of science sometimes causes terrible tragedy like atomic bomb dropped at Hiroshima.Though he cooperated together with another world famous scientist Einstein in order to realize peaceful world free from nuclear weapon, the majority of opinion was against them under the theory that holding weapon will play a role of preventing the world from confusion like breaking out wars.THough nowadays opinions are still divided in the same way,I was impressed by the old and great physician Hideki Yukawa's patient effort to make his dream come true.

Nuclear Japan?

Following North Korea's nuclear experiment, one of the LDP member gave controversial comment that we Japan should start discussing about the justices of holding nuclear weapon or not, which as a matter of course brought about much criticism regardless of inside or outside of Japan.Major reaction from other countries were that Japan seems finally started trying to lift non-nuclear policy.Though I also think it's extravagant idea to hold such weapon,I have a little different opinion about his comment. In this significant timing of this current issue, the government should give its general opinion to those who may start to think about the possibility of holding a weapon as a minimum defense, not as starting discussion but just to ease the anxiety by the citizen. To tell the truth,my mother also have positive idea of holding nuclear weapon. It was a pity that a LDP member in question didn't make a proper excuse.

Princess Diana

Heartwarming story about the princess Diana.I was impressed by following anecdote that tells her not being proud of her royal position. One day she took her children to the area where many homeless and jobless people were hanging around aimlessly. Not only it's dangerous and unsuitable for such noble people to visit, but she also spoke to one homeless to encourage him not to lose his hope.It can be easily imagine how her children were surprised and shocked to see her conduct.THen she persuaded them that her children that were promised to become princes in the future should know the real part of their country. After she died by unfortunate accident, her children succeeded to her will and now engaged in volunteering activity by visiting welfare institutions where many disabled people were accommodated.

wasteful way of tax use

Last night TV program featured the truth hidden behind medical accidents caused by doctors.I always feel very sorry that simple mistakes cause many serious accidents.Besides, most of such mistakes could have been avoided if some preventive system existed.Another reason for such trouble is that people don't want to disclose their mistakes.I think our advanced society seems to be lacking something very important under much harder business races.
The other program featured together was wasteful use of tax revenue by the government and its relation with golden parachute Amakudari problem. It's one of Japanese bad traditions among government officials who around their retirement age descend to private companies with higher position so that they can keep on making a lot of money. That program also disclosed that there exist some government controlled corporation whose purpose is just to offer positions for such bureaucrats without any distinct purpose.I hope it can be more clarified about how our tax is being used.

tax payment for royal family

Japan's royal family was feature in last night's TV.I've thought the reason why we feel at home when we watch them.My original answer is that we must see something like God in them.Few people complain that our the tax used for them is a waste of money. We may regard such tax as the money we offer when we visit and pray at the shrine.Coincidentally the total tax used for them seems actually match total amount of money we citizen offer to the Shrine.
Last night TV featured also that some ceremonies held in Imperial court are continued from more than a thousand years ago with the same style originated at the first Emperor period who is now worshiped nothing less that the God.
When we take these facts into account,my idea must not be widely wrong.

Parenticide and suicide occurred

Tragic murder cases occurred today killing one's parents and oneself at one time.In my younger days the only parenticide I remember was that one prep school boy killed his parents using his baseball bat that caused much sensation to the society at that time, while in these days it's becoming not rare perhaps because of the society being more confused than before. From religious standpoint, suicide is believed to be the worst sin in this world while parenticide ranks the second. Therefore,it's beyond imagination how unearthly crime it is.Following recent such situation, today it was announced that a new law regarding suicide case was established to take precaution measure against such cases.I think every member of our society should be involved to reduce such tragedy as much as possible.

Japanese Anthem Kimogayo has lyric in English!?

I happened to find a funny story that someone created a lyric in English to our Japanese Anthem Kimogayo. It's not literally translation but a play on words by transforming every Japanese syllabic sound into English ones that sound similarly. Therefore, people may not able to make out whether it's sung in Japanese or English.Besides, its newly invented English meaning has their thought against patriotism. This mischievous trick was intended by those who protest against new Japanese regulation forcing students and teachers to song Kimigayo at its school ceremonies,so that they who used to refuse singing can sing their ironic song with pleasure by getting around the authority.Though I myself am sitting on the fence about this issue,I can't help clapping hands for this marvelous trick. Here it is.

kiss me, girl, and your old one(kimi ga yo wa)

a tip you need, it is years till you're near this(chiyo ni yachiyo ni)

sound of the dead "will she know(sazare ishi no)

she wants all to not really take(iwao to narite)

cold caves know moon is with whom mad and dead"(koke no musu made)

China

Continued from yesterday.I read the story about China's outlook of politics and economy to the future based on the past history. It says Chinese citizen especially low income families have few benefit from the past revolution which only widened the gap between riches and poors.THen what the writer worries most is that China's dictatorial government may also dictate its economy that restricts the chance for private companies to develop, driving itself way to collapse.

The IT industry that I'm also involved is also being threatened by China's rapid economic growth. You know,IBM's PC business was sold to China's company. What I was surprised most about China, however,is that it still has very conventional dictatorial government in spite of its having more advanced technologies in many fields.

When we look at this fact, there seem to exist another wide gap besides what the writer indicated. That is wide gap between their old fashioned government and their having brand new techonology.I'm afraid it may cause some additional negative influence in the future that we've never expected.

I hope we Japan should be wiser by learning a lesson from them, though we already seem to have something in common like wide income gap and our dictatorial political leader.

P.S.I like China and I feel very sorry our Yasukumi problem offended them.So I don't wish my article offend them.
